I haven't finished the series yet (i'm on knife of dreams) but just seeing this makes me sad because i know who he used to be, and who he becomes. Definitely tragic. It's amazing how Jordan can make my heart ache the way it does for these characters.
VERY COOL. I'd love to see you draw a the non-shepherd Rand, for comparison's sake Plus, he's too sexy for his shirt .. I've totally drawn him bare chested just for fun lmao! I'd be curious to see Perri on his own too!
This pic kind of restores the character in my mind. Im listing to the books on tape currently ( although i've read the books ) and him as a shephard is tons more appealing then him as a ...well , angst character lol.
the expression is wicked , his stance and bodylanguage really suits whats going on . You've hit the mark on all of your WOT fanart.
Have you every read george r.r martins series a song of fire and ice ? If you like robert jordan its pretty much a guarantee you'll love those books as well .
Aw, yes. A far simpler and more innocent time for Rand. I love how you convey how innocent he was at this time in his life. Heh...he's constantly called a shepherd in the books, but you never actually SEE him in that role. Makes this picture all the better.
This is a great rendition of younger Rand...I forgot about the memory that was brought up, as things like that seem to get buried under the task that rests on his shoulders. He was such a goofy kid, with large hands and feet as Egwene mentions in the first book.
